In case anyone is wondering, merry meet is a greeting used among many wiccans. Anyway,
I set up this page to guide those who are just starting out on the path of witchcraft/paganism. It's mainly aimed towards younger people, but people of any age could probably benefit from a lot of this information. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at AlayaMorgan@hotmail.com
If you would like to talk to me directly and have AOL, you many IM at AlayaMorgan if you can catch me on (do NOT email me through that name)
Note: Before emailing me a question, please make sure I didn't already answer it on my page. I really hate to repeat myself. Also, I do not take on students. I simply give guidence and help people get put on the right track.
For the people who do not know what Witchcraft and Paganism is, I'll give a brief definition. Paganism includes religions that believe in more than one god (polytheistic) and is usually nature oriented. (However many people consider taoism, buddhism, hinduism, shintoism, and other religions of the sort to be pagan and some might not think of them as being very nature based. Many people have different views on the definition of paganism. Mine is not written in stone). Witchcraft is a prechristian, pagan, nature based, usually polytheistic religion which seeks to live in harmony with the earth. Witchcraft is not evil, it has nothing to do with the Devil, and for the most part witches will not try to hurt others with "curses", "hexes", "death spells", etc. They wish to live the way they want to, and not have anyone discriminate them for it, for they do not discriminate others for their beliefs (hopefully!). They try to live a harmonous life with nature, others, and ourselves. (Please note that we do not see the divine as separate from the earth and the universe. We believe they are the earth, universe, and everything in it). There are many traditions under Witchcraft such as Wicca and Celtic traditions.
Please be aware that I practice witchcraft as my religion. Not everyone defines witchcraft as a religion. Also, my page is often a mix of witchcraft and wicca (which do have differences). Whenever possible, I will note when something is exclusive to wicca and is not practiced or believed by most nonwiccan witches.
